Gillie Girls Triathlon - July 21, 2013
Each year during the 12 days of the New York State Fair, the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund has a booth in the Empire Building. The booth is easy to locate underneath the 30 foot breast cancer ribbon hanging from the ceiling. Volunteers staff the booth from 9 am until 10 pm each day, selling breast cancer ribbons, t-shirts and other merchandise. Carol spends several hours at the booth each day, talking to individuals suffering from breast cancer, survivors, and families of women that lost their struggle.
The Carol M. Baldwin golf tournament is held at the Turning Stone Casino golf courses and it is one of the biggest and most prominent tournaments in the area. This all day event brings corporate sponsors from all over Central New York together with survivors and other supporters. The tournament is followed by a dinner at The Turning Stone.
